Job Description:

 

A Congressional race in Michigan's 2nd Congressional District (2CD) is seeking a self-starter who will serve as Campaign Manager.  The 2CD race is competitive with no primary challenger.

 

The position will involve planning and executing all aspects of the campaign including the budget, managing the candidate and campaign staff (including volunteers), driving the field operation effort, formulating the media plan in consultation with consultants, and finding opportunities for earned media. 

 

Responsibilities will include refining and evolving campaign goals, priorities, and schedule and managing the execution of all activities in alignment with goals and priorities, within the constraints of timeline, budget, and resources. 

 

All of this will be done with the assistance of and in consultation with the consultant team and with the support of a small in-house staff. The Campaign Manager works at the discretion of the candidate (Bryan Berghoef).

 

Qualifications:

      2 cycles of experience working on campaigns with at least 1 cycle of political fundraising experience preferred – experience working on a Congressional campaign is plus

      Experience building and managing a campaign staff, and managing a candidate

      Experience staffing call time, event organizing, and donor relationship maintenance, including proficiency with ISP

      Demonstrated success in organizing, and executing successful field operations, including creating a targeted voter universe

      Demonstrated success in developing and executing targeted campaign communications strategies and plans, and development of sophisticated messaging that resonates with in-district voters.

      Excellent interpersonal, management, organizational, and verbal & written communications skills

      Experience and familiarity with West Michigan a plus

      Proficient campaign computer skills, including using social media, Microsoft Word and Excel, Google Suite, ISP, and VAN
