Executive Assistant

Vote Yes for Fairness is looking for a highly-motivated Executive Assistant to join our team to assist the organization's President with daily and long-term scheduling and operations. An ideal candidate has excellent written verbal communication skills, is highly organized with an attention to detail, and is dedicated to working to advance progressive causes. This position is based in Chicago, IL.


Video Editor

Vote Yes for Fairness is looking for a creative and highly-motivated Video Editor to join our team. An ideal candidate is highly organized with an attention to detail, and is dedicated to working to advance progressive causes. The Video Editor will be responsible for creating videos and GIFs for both organic social media and digital advertising. Candidates should have 2-3 years of prior experience and be well-versed in editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, or other software of choice). This position is based in Chicago, IL.


Research Associate

Vote Yes for Fairness is looking for a highly-motivated Research Associate to join our team. An ideal candidate has excellent written verbal communication skills, is highly organized with an attention to detail, and is dedicated to working to advance progressive causes. Responsibilities include fact checking Vote Yes for Fairness products and materials, conducting long-term as well as rapid response research projects, and assisting the research director with other tasks as necessary. This position is based in Chicago, IL.


Coordinated Director

Vote Yes for Fairness is looking for a Coordinated Director to lead a statewide organizing program in Illinois. The Coordinated Director will be responsible for overseeing the entire organizing program and working with allied organizations to implement this statewide campaign. This person will work directly with the Executive Director to develop and execute an organizing plan, manage Deputy Organizing Directors, and oversee the implementation of organizing initiatives to achieve ambitious program goals. The Coordinated Director will report directly to the Executive Director. This position is based in Chicago, IL.

Skills and Qualifications:

At least two cycles of field/organizing campaign experience with at least one cycle managing staff
Quality management experience, including budget preparation and leading a cross-departmental team
Demonstrated ability to successfully integrate issue advocacy and lobbying with direct voter engagement and communications
Experience meeting deadlines and an ability to manage many tasks simultaneously
Skilled in motivating staff and demonstrating leadership to create a strong and supportive team culture
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel, or their Google equivalents
Strong knowledge of VoteBuilder/VAN
Ability to succeed both independently and in team settings
Comfortable working with a diverse team of people with varying skill sets, skill levels, and backgrounds
A valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the state as needed
Strong attention to detail and excellent personal, verbal, and written communication skills
