Progressive Turnout Project seeks Deputy Field Director

Position Summary:
Progressive Turnout Project seeks applicants for Deputy Field Director for the 2020 election cycle. This position will be based in our Chicago, IL, headquarters, with travel required to field offices located in numerous presidential and Senate battleground states.
The Deputy Field Director will assist the National Field Director in day-to-day management of Progressive Turnout Project's field program. This will include working directly with Regional Field Directors on a daily basis, monitoring progress to goals, coaching best practices, and troubleshooting miscellaneous issues as they arise. The supervisory scope of this position is limited to day-to-day management and does not supersede the National Field Director's supervisory relationship with Regional Field Directors. The duties of this position are subject to modification in response to program or organizational needs.
The ideal candidate is highly flexible, a creative self-starter, well-organized, comfortable guiding staff both in the office and in the field, an experienced manager and canvasser, and highly proficient in NGP VAN.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the National Field Director to develop and utilize systems for monitoring deliverables and disseminating information within the Field Department
Frequently travel to PTP field offices throughout the United States for the purpose of gaining on-the-ground insight into program execution and providing additional guidance to Field staff at all levels
Communicate daily with individual Regional Field Directors for the purpose of receiving status updates and providing guidance where needed
Other duties as needed
Qualifications (You will be a good fit if):
You have at least two cycles of field experience or equivalent organizing experience
You're committed to establishing a culture of community and respect in the workplace
You're passionate about electing Democrats to public office and contributing knowledge to the progressive community
You're proficient in G Suite Products (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, etc), Microsoft Office, and VAN (especially list building, turf cutting, monitoring canvass results, and managing MiniVAN users)
