Espy for Senate - Finance Assistant
The Espy for Senate campaign is looking for finance assistants for the 2020 Senate race in Mississippi. Mike is the DSCC endorsed candidate, and the finance assistant will work with the deputy finance director to meet fundraising goals, manage donor relationship and research prospective donors.
In a 2018 special election, Mike Espy raised over $7million in less than eight months in the most competitive state wide race Mississippi had seen in over two decades. The campaign is looking for a strong fundraiser who is willing to take on the challenge of helping turn Mississippi blue.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in staffing the candidates call time as needed
- Preparing donor briefing memos for candidate meetings
- Researching prospective candidates
- Help build for and staff fundraising events
- Helping prepare call time materials/call sheets
- Assisting in pledge chase
Qualifications
- Excellent personal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including attention to detail.
- Ability to travel and work weekends and nights as needed
- Position is based in Jackson, MS
- Past experience on a campaign especially in fundraising is a plus
- Experience with NGP and Gsuite applications is a plus
