FINANCE ASSISTANT POSITION
The Barbara Bollier for Kansas campaign is hiring a highly motivated Finance Assistant. This position will report to the Finance Director. The position is based in Mission, KS.
The Finance Assistant will join a rapidly growing campaign in one of the most competitive US Senate races of 2020. Barbara Bollier is endorsed by the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, EMILY's List, over 30 elected officials in Kansas, and several labor unions.
Bollier for Kansas announced raising over $1.1 million from over 4500 contributors in Q4 2019. This more than doubles the previous single-quarter fundraising record for a Democratic candidate running for US Senate in Kansas.
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo definitively ruled out a running, making former KS Secretary of State Kris Kobach the frontrunner for the GOP nomination. Kobach, who best known for his hardline conservative positions, most recently lost the Kansas gubernatorial election in 2018 to democrat Laura Kelly.
Duties include but are not limited to:
· Conducting donor research and preparing briefs
· Working closely with the members of the finance team to organize, schedule, and run fundraising events
· Coordinating operational processes including compliance
· Assist with recruiting and directing finance interns and volunteers
· Call time preparation
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· Applicants must be highly organized and have the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
· Willingness to work flexible hours (including evenings and weekends)
· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
· Laptop with ability to connect to wi-fi
