Working under the direct supervision of the President & General Counsel, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will manage the organization's finances and streamline the accounting policies and processes. The CFO will also safeguard the assets, ensure transparency, the credibility and continuity of the business operations, and collaborate in defining the organizational processes and the implementation of the infrastructure and systems needed to support the organization long-term sustainability and continued growth. As a member of the senior management team, the CFO will contribute to organizational leadership, be involved in strategic planning, evaluation, and professional development initiatives. The CFO will also manage a full-time Staff Accountant.
Financial Management
The CFO will collaborate with the President & General Counsel on maintaining the organization's financial sustainability, cash-flow management, investment portfolio and the departments policies and processes including the continuous improvement of systems. The CFO will ensure the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and analysis, as well as, prepare and monitor cash flow, forecasts, budgets, grants, revenues & expenses and mitigate liabilities. The CFO will lead and complete all annual audit activities and tax compliance and other related annual filings.
Additional Duties
The CFO will collaborate with the management team and other departments to explore ways to share financial reports and analysis as a programmatic addition for the organization's constituents. The CFO will also complete other duties as assigned by the President & General Counsel and serve as the point person for Board of Directors' Finance/ Investment Committee, the Investment Advisers, Audit Committee and the Independent Auditors.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 12 years of professional experience, 5 of those years managing the finances of a national multi-million-dollar organization (preference given to nonprofit experience).
- Master's in Business Administration (MBA) and w/ Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
- Experience should include legal, audit, compliance, budgets, cash management, investments, and resource development as well as proven effectiveness leading professionals in finance and accounting. The CFO will have experience in creating and driving the analytic framework for planning and managing organizational change in a highly tactical manner.
- Knowledgeable in MS Office Professional Suite, Abila Fund Accounting System and ADP Payroll.
- Must possess excellent written and communications skills, bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.

Position Summary Run for Something is currently hiring for a Political Manager. In this role, you will report to the Co-Founder/Chief Program and Recruitment Officer. Maintaining accurate reports used by the program team to track progress.
