Working under the direct supervision of the President & General Counsel, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will manage the organization's finances and streamline the accounting policies and processes. The CFO will also safeguard the assets, ensure transparency, the credibility and continuity of the business operations, and collaborate in defining the organizational processes and the implementation of the infrastructure and systems needed to support the organization long-term sustainability and continued growth. As a member of the senior management team, the CFO will contribute to organizational leadership, be involved in strategic planning, evaluation, and professional development initiatives. The CFO will also manage a full-time Staff Accountant.

Financial Management

The CFO will collaborate with the President & General Counsel on maintaining the organization's financial sustainability, cash-flow management, investment portfolio and the departments policies and processes including the continuous improvement of systems. The CFO will ensure the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and analysis, as well as, prepare and monitor cash flow, forecasts, budgets, grants, revenues & expenses and mitigate liabilities. The CFO will lead and complete all annual audit activities and tax compliance and other related annual filings.

Additional Duties

The CFO will collaborate with the management team and other departments to explore ways to share financial reports and analysis as a programmatic addition for the organization's constituents. The CFO will also complete other duties as assigned by the President & General Counsel and serve as the point person for Board of Directors' Finance/ Investment Committee, the Investment Advisers, Audit Committee and the Independent Auditors.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 12 years of professional experience, 5 of those years managing the finances of a national multi-million-dollar organization (preference given to nonprofit experience).
  • Master's in Business Administration (MBA) and w/ Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
  • Experience should include legal, audit, compliance, budgets, cash management, investments, and resource development as well as proven effectiveness leading professionals in finance and accounting. The CFO will have experience in creating and driving the analytic framework for planning and managing organizational change in a highly tactical manner.
  • Knowledgeable in MS Office Professional Suite, Abila Fund Accounting System and ADP Payroll.
  • Must possess excellent written and communications skills, bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
  • Excellent people skills, with experience collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic environment as well as personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and gravitas.
  • Flexible and a self-starter; able to multi-task while also being highly detail oriented.
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities, proposing new ways of creating efficiencies, guiding and enhancing the investment of both human and financial resources and systems.

Coordinator to manage both our volunteer data and our outreach to voters
for a nationwide phone bank leading up to the 2020 election.
 
The Data Coordinator will work with the Deputy Director and the Online
Volunteer Coordinator manage volunteer and voter data and help make
decisions about targeting in a massive virtual phone bank program to make
commit to vote, vote plan, and GOTV calls into swing states. Volunteers
will be able to make calls from anywhere across the country using a
predictive dialer system that will be calling inconsistent Democratic

This is a full time paid position based in Chicago, Illinois. Compensation
offered will be commensurate with experience. The position is eligible for

Position Description: The VPC and CVI are seeking a Development Associate.

CADC, LLC is seeking qualified, highly motivated individuals to fill the
role of Field Organizer. Field Organizers serve an important role on the
front lines of today's progressive fights, and organizer experience is
vital to any seeking a career in politics.
 
CADC specializes in direct voter contact on behalf of progressive
candidates and causes. CADC's leadership has decades of combined experience
with campaigns of all shapes and sizes, from Presidential campaigns, the
DSCC and DCCC, national issue advocacy campaigns, and municipal races.
 
Field Organizers are responsible for the day-to-day recruitment,
instruction and management of canvassers.
 
Applicants for the position should possess strong organizational and
communication skills as well as the ability to multitask and meet
deadlines. Applicants should be willing to relocate as necessary.

Position Summary
 
Run for Something is currently hiring for a Political Manager. In this
role, you will report to the Co-Founder/Chief Program and Recruitment
Officer. Your primary responsibilities are threefold. First, you will be
responsible for supporting the Co-Founder/Chief Program and Recruitment
Officer around partnership development and execution. Second, you will be
the project manager for initiatives like National Run for Office Day and
organization-wide candidate recruitment efforts. Third, you will be
responsible for working with the Co-Founder/Chief Program and Recruitment
Officer in developing internal program team structures and processes.
 

 
Responsibilities
 
The Political Manager will help RFS accomplish our strategic imperatives
via:
 
-

Partnership development (approximately 35%):
1.

Executing day-to-day responsibilities related to partnerships with
organizations. This includes tasks such as organizing webinars, interfacing
with partners to ensure our candidates get access relevant trainings, and
coordinating the development of microsites and other collateral.
2.

Coordinating with Co-Founder/Chief Program and Recruitment Officer to
deepen relationships with current and key partnerships
3.

Developing and maintaining a partner outreach tracker to include
relevant notes, decisions, and action items.
4.

Developing a pipeline of and stewarding relationships with new
partner organizations to advance our programmatic goals
-

Project coordination (approximately 45%):
1.

Coordinating cross-departmental efforts on complex projects,
including but not limited to:
-

National Run for Office Day (a holiday we developed to celebrate
folks running for office <https://www.runforofficeday.com/>). This
will include activities such as leading weekly planning meetings,
developing the overall plan for the day, partnership outreach and
coordination, and significant coordination with the RFS comms/digital team.
-

Candidate recruitment. This is a coordinating role that includes
holding regular meetings, keeping track of all ongoing recruitment efforts,
and ensuring teams are communicating transparently about what they are
doing, and regularly updating against progress to goal.
-

Vetting process for candidate endorsements with the Community
Director and Senior Regional Director.
-

Election results tracking. Run for Something candidates are
running in elections throughout the year, not just on the first Tuesday in
November. The Political Manager will prepare tracking documents for team
members to update as election results come in on Election Night and to
track results after election day.
-

Program team coordination (approximately 20%):
1.

Creating and executing internal program team processes such as weekly
meeting agendas, action items, and follow up, or collecting and analyzing
weekly reports from team members for team-wide takeaways;
2.

Maintaining accurate reports used by the program team to track
progress. This includes total number of candidates endorsed, demographic
information on endorsed candidates, as well as specific data on candidates
by endorsement round.
3.

Executing other duties as assigned by Co-Founder/Chief Program and
Recruitment Officer such as developing memos/plans for partners and
funders.
