Organizing Together 2020 is a coalition of organizations, organizers and activists working together to advance progressive issues and defeat President Trump. Organizing Together 2020 is a federal independent campaign that will build community based, volunteer driven, issue and electoral organizational capacity for the general election campaign. Organizing Together 2020 will organize early to build a robust organization ready to fully support a nominee for the general election. Organizing Together 2020 is hiring a Training Director to lead and support our training programs in Pennsylvania. The Training Director will report directly to the State Director and Organizing Director and will also work directly with national staff as well as stakeholders and training participants in the state.
Responsibilities
- Work with national training team and partners along with in-state team and partners to develop state-specific training plans and adapt existing curriculum
- Work with organizing team and state staff to develop training materials for in-state volunteer trainings
- Manage in-state trainings including staff onboardings, and volunteer-focused trainings
- Coach in-state trainers and develop curriculum and materials for the in-person training
- Coordinate the implementation of all in-state trainings, both in person and online
- Use surveys to identify areas where curriculum can be adapted further
Requirements
- A creative self-starter with an impeccable work ethic
- 3 to 5 years of organizing experience on a political campaign or organization
- Experience on a presidential campaign is preferred but not required
- A firm believer in empowerment organizing
- Worked on campaigns in Organizing roles to build volunteer capacity
- An excellent communicator (oral and written)
- A utility player who is comfortable managing multiple projects with different timelines
- An inclusive, community-oriented person who is passionate about a new generation of civic leadership
- An unabashed nerd who loves training, organizing, and checklists
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work in high pressure environment, and meet tight timelines.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment.
- Experience with VAN, Google Drive, Excel, Word, Data Analytics Tools
- Dedicated to working for Democratic candidates and causes
