We are seeking a Field Organizer to work on a progressive campaign in New York City. As field is crucial to the campaign process and helps determine the outcome of the election, we are looking for a Field Organizer who is experienced in voter outreach and volunteer coordination.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting and retaining volunteers through phone calls, texts, and other digital outreach.
- Managing canvasses and phone banks.
- Knocking doors and calling voters to identify supporters of the campaign.
- Serve as a community ambassador.
- Fostering relationships with grassroots activists and community leaders
- Tracking daily field metrics
Skills & Experience
- Commitment to investing in the community
- Strong writing and speaking skills
- Ability to problem-solve independently and take creative approaches to meeting goals
- Computer proficiency (including but not limited to: VAN, MobilizeAmerica, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel)
- Must be able to work campaign hours as well as nights and weekends as needed
Position Type: Full-time starts April 1
Salary: Commensurate with experience
