Democratic Majority for Israel is seeking creative, motivated and driven interns in Washington DC who will serve as key members of our team and work directly with staff to play a substantive role in our advocacy.

Summary

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work both in teams and independently while being effective communicators to coordinate with staff and complete projects in a timely manner. They will have a strong interest in Israel, advocacy, public outreach, and social media. This internship is an excellent opportunity for politically-motivated students and recent graduates to be an integral part of our team and gain experience in a fast-paced advocacy environment.

Job Responsibilities

DC Interns will report to the Political Director and are responsible for the following:

  • Support the Political Department in the DC headquarters
  • Complete research projects including tracking legislation, policy research, and digital tracking
  • Monitoring news coverage on candidates and campaigns, press releases, fundraising efforts, etc.


Qualifications

We're seeking candidates who have a strong drive to be a team player, jump in wherever helpful, and support our efforts to strengthen and reaffirm the U.S.-Israel relationship.

  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to effectively executing our mission and message
  • Strong interest in politics and advocacy
  • Ability to work quickly and effectively while maintaining quality of work
  • Interest and ability in thinking creatively and collaborating with others

 

Political experience and/or knowledge of advocacy are plusses but not requirements.

 

Internship start and end dates are flexible.

 

Compensation

 

Interns for Democratic Majority for Israel are paid $15/hour in accordance with our values and assigned a maximum of 40 hours/week.
