Mondaire for Congress is hiring a Relational Organizer to work on an open primary in Rockland and Westchester Counties. Mondaire Jones is a 32 year old attorney and progressive activist who has been endorsed by Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Rep. Ayanna Pressley, Working Families Party, Democracy for America, the LGBTQ Victory Fund, Collective PAC, and more. The campaign is looking for a Relational Organizer to build and manage a new distributed relational organizing program. Spanish fluency is a plus.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Work with the Digital Organizing Director to design and manage an innovative distributed relational organizing program
Recruit and build relationships with volunteers, and lead volunteer communities on digital channels to hit ambitious voter contact goals within their communities
Hold regular volunteer trainings to empower new volunteers and develop additional training materials and toolkits as required
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
At least 1 cycle of campaign experience is preferred
Experience managing volunteers remotely, including running trainings
Community/constituency organizing experience is a plus
Experience using distributed tools (e.g. Reach, MiniVAN, and/or Slack) is preferred
Strong commitment to Democratic politics and ideals
Ability to work in a high-pressure, on-call environment. Candidates must be self-motivated and willing to work long hours, including nights and weekends as needed
Creative problem solving abilities, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a willingness to try new things
