A Democratic media consulting firm is seeking a creative and experienced political professional to join our team as we develop and execute strategic media campaigns for a variety of national campaigns and causes.
This seasonal role will run through November 2020 and be based in the DC area, however, there is a potential for growth depending on the interest and long-term goals of the applicant.
Relevant experience:
- Multiple cycles in political communications, research and/or digital capacity as part of campaign, party committee, independent expenditure or as communications professional
- Strong written communications skills
- A creative and innovative approach to political messaging
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Researching, drafting and editing plans and messaging to effectively communicate client goal
- Collaborating with the client strategy team
- Fact-check and review outgoing client deliverables (scripts and video)
- Other duties as assigned
Essential requirements:
- High level of organization, meticulous attention to detail and an ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
- A strong collaborator
- Discretion when dealing with confidential information
- A commitment to electing Democrats to public office
