Christine Morse for State House is seeking a Finance Director to join her campaign in the number one targeted state house seat in the state of Michigan. Morse is running to be the first Democrat ever elected to serve Michigan's 61st State House District. Morse's campaign is looking for an enthusiastic full-time Finance Director to support our finance program toward the November 2020 election. Must have access to internet, laptop, and a car. Salary range is $1800-$2000 per month.
About the Campaign
You would be joining a campaign manager who values the importance of donor relationships and call time. You would work as a partner with the campaign manager on finance strategy, and if you are interested, field and communications. You will get inside access, great training, and ownership over the call time program. You will help build a robust finance internship program to support our operation. **All activities are remote/virtual for now - this is subject to change.
Responsibilities Include:
- Managing call time each week
- Building and managing an excellent team of 15+ finance interns who have been trained in donor research and can assist with events, other research, and double staff call time
- Managing an email fundraising program
- Assisting the campaign manager in planning and executing several fundraisers and house parties
- Reporting on progress, managing compliance, and updating the finance plan regularly
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience with NGP 7 or 8
- Willingness to ask questions
- Previous campaign fundraising experience (staff experience recommended, but not required)
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, fluid work environment
- A commitment to local organizing, building community, and flipping the state legislature blue
- A demonstrated history of attention to detail and great time management skills
