Role Overview
The Kayser Enneking Campaign is hiring a field director for the 2020 election cycle. The field director will be responsible for running a data-driven voter mobilization program through the implementation of a district-wide voter contact effort. The ideal candidate is motivated, creative, and passionate about electing flipping state legislative chambers. This position reports to the Campaign Manager.
About the Kayser Enneking Campaign
Dr. Kayser Enneking is running for Florida State House District 21. A lifelong physician, professor, and researcher Kayser has been on the front lines of Florida's healthcare struggles and believes that it is past time that the State of Florida pass Medicaid expansion. House District 21 has been consistently won by top of the ticket Democrats, however Democrats have failed to turn that into down ballot success. Democrats have won the district in 2 out of the last 3 presidential cycles and two out of the last 3 midterms. Kayser is ready to flip this seat blue.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, train and manage teams of volunteers and interns
- Lead voter contact, volunteer recruitment, grassroots engagement and GOTV efforts that are flexible and responsive to the evolving public health situation.
- Be prepared to emphasize digital organizing in response to covid-19 restrictions on field operations.
- Data entry and VAN database management
- Submit regular qualitative and quantitative reports clearly communicating needs, problem areas, and successes.
- Contribute to an enthusiastic, and inclusive work environment among volunteers and interns
- Develop and maintain strong, trusting relationships with local party leaders and activist groups
- Other campaign related tasks and duties as assigned, as needed
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- A passion for electing down ballot democrats!
- Expertise with Votebuilder, MobilizeAmerica, and P2P Texting, among other applications
- Minimum of one cycle of field experience with demonstrated results
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Willingness to work in a fast paced and demanding but fulfilling environment which includes evening and weekend hours.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work both collaboratively and independently
- Organized, detail oriented, and data driven.
- Must possess a laptop and valid driver's license along with access to a reliable car
Compensation
This is a full-time position requiring a commitment through November 15th, 2020. This position will be based in Gainesville, Florida and hires will be required to relocate.
