Virginia's 7th Congressional District
Rep. Abigail Spanberger's 2020 re-election campaign is seeking a highly organized, enthusiastic team player to join our growing team. This position is located in Henrico, Virginia, in the heart of Virginia's 7th Congressional District. If you are ready to use your organizational skills to contribute to an exciting re-election campaign for one of the most competitive races in the country, join our team today!
The Field Organizer position focuses on organizing volunteers and voters across the district. Goals of this position will include, but are not limited to, increasing voter registration and turnout, planning events and engagement activities for volunteer communities, and recruiting volunteer leadership teams through 1:1 conversations, phone calls, texts and digital media. The full job description is below. This position is funded by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC).
This position begins July 15th – it will be remote to begin with a (hopeful) expectation that it will be in person in the VA-07 eventually.

Description
Congressional races across the country seek talented, hard-working Field Organizers.
Position Summary:
The DCCC is seeking Field Organizers to work on competitive congressional races for the 2020 cycle. Field Organizers will work closely with field leadership in congressional districts. Field Organizers will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteers to expand the volunteer network for the campaign. Field Organizers will manage and execute voter contact tactics such as phone banks, text banks, canvasses, voter registration drives, and visibility events. Please note, these tactics will vary based on the environment related to COVID-19 that we will be working in. Field Organizers should be high energy, outgoing, and enthusiastic.
Qualifications:
Organizational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to the election of Democrats up and down the ballot
Adaptable to changing needs and program priorities
Positive attitude required
Previous political campaign experience a plus
