2020 MDLCC Media Coordinator Position Description
The Montana Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (MDLCC), the wing of the Montana Democratic Party that works to elect Democrats to the Montana State Legislature, would like to announce an opening for the position of MDLCC Media Coordinator. The MDLCC Media Coordinator works closely with campaigns across the state to orchestrate the ad design, purchasing, and ad campaign management.

POSITION TITLE: MDLCC Media Coordinator
REPORTING TO: MDLCC Field Director
LOCATION: Montana (location negotiable)
The MDLCC Media Coordinator's duties include:
Managing print and drop dates for a robust mail program for battleground campaigns;
Crafting graphics for a wide range of advertising on multiple platforms;
Coordinating with vendors and consultants for campaign services;
Helping train MDLCC stakeholders, including coordination of mass trainings;
Coordinating diverse legislative candidate themes and digital ad placement;
Collaborating with MDP Data Director, MDLCC Field Director, and regional MDLCC field staff to develop effective targeting for mail and digital ad campaigns;
Completing other day-to-day operations of the MDLCC, as needed.
Preferred qualifications for applicants seeking to be MDLCC Media Coordinator:
This position requires a strong background in legislative campaign management, communications, field, and fundraising.
Degree in graphic design or at least 2 years of experience;
Ability to work independently, with a direct supervisor who is often in other areas of the state;
Highly organized with a keen attention to detail;
Willingness to work long and irregular hours needed to meet campaign demands;
Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, take direction, and work well and creatively under tight deadlines, in a team environment;
Ability to navigate multiple sets of expectations and needs by setting priorities and communicating clearly;
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills;
Reliable transportation;
Knowledge of and experience with the Montana political landscape preferred;
Experience working with Montana mail houses and print shops a plus;
Absolute commitment to MDLCC through the 2020 election.
Salary & Benefit Package:
Salary: $2,750-$3,250, based on experience.
Employer paid health insurance.
Reimbursement for travel expenses.
Cell phone stipend of $100 per month.
