Position : Scala Developer
Location : Philadelphia, PA
Hiring Mode : Long Term Contract (1+ Years possible extension up to 3 Years)
Visa: ANY (Except OPT and CPT)
How many level of internal interview (TP1/TP2/Both): 2 rounds
Responsibilities:
- Comfortable in an agile development and a champion of software development best practices.
- Test Driven Development and Acceptance Test Driven Development, using Cucumber-Jvm and ScalaTest
- Must be able to build REST services from the ground up.
- Technologies: Scala 2.11, Http4s, Play2, Akka, Kafka, ELK, Apache Spark, Amazon Web Service (Lambda, S3, Kinesis, SQS).
- Strong in OOP & Functional paradigm
- Bachelor's degree in computer sciences, engineering, management information systems or combination of education and equivalent working experience.
- Some experience in Scala (Must).
- Strong software design skills and knowledge of design patterns.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and associated tools. (Jira)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. Master's preferred.
