Position: Finance Director

Reports to: Senate Democratic Leader and SSDC Executive Director

 

The Wisconsin State Senate Democratic Committee is seeking an experienced Finance Director for the 2020 campaign cycle. Start date is no earlier than June 29th, 2020. 


Description / Duties:

The Finance Director is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive finance and fundraising plan for the SSDC for the 2020 campaign cycle.

 

The fundraising plan will include, but not be limited to: a member call time program; low and high dollar events; online and email fundraising; a direct mail solicitation program; a PAC and conduit contribution program; connecting with Wisconsin-based partners and national organizations; and donor prospecting and research.

 

Specifically, the Finance Director will be responsible for accomplishing the strategic priorities and achieving the expected outcomes, as determined by the Senate Democratic Leader and SSDC Executive Director. The Finance Director also provides finance assistance to Senate Democratic incumbents and candidates, as needed.  The Finance Director will be responsible for ensuring compliance with state and federal campaign finance and ethics laws.


Desired Experience:

A strong candidate for this position will have at least one campaign cycle as a Finance Director, Deputy Finance Director or Finance Assistant or similar experience. Candidates also must have experience with Microsoft Excel and NGP, or a similar database. Preferred candidates will have significant experience in all aspects of campaign finance operations and fundraising, and experience working on multiple campaigns. The ideal candidate will be aggressive and innovative in their approach to ensure the SSDC is in a strong financial position to be successful during the 2020 cycle.  

Salary range is $50,000-$60,000. Health insurance and other benefits available. This position will be based in Madison, Wisconsin.
