Program Overview: Flip the West is a field campaign focused on flipping the U.S. Senate, driven on volunteer recruitment, training and activation. The Montana Field Organizer will play an important role strengthening our virtual field organization and operational capacity to reach more voters in Montana by managing the recruitment and electoral action deployment of in-state volunteers. The Field Organizer will be responsible for a series of metric-driven results related to organizing Flip the West Virtual Action Events in coordination with our statewide independent expenditure partners also working with us to elect Steve Bullock in 2020.

 

Job Overview: The Montana Field Organizer's primary job responsibility is to help develop and implement the statewide field plan and calendar for the final 100 days. They will be responsible for executing field programs, recruiting/training volunteers, and managing field action, data entry and social media volunteers for grassroots groups that are part of the Flip Force and Flip Montana partnership. As part of this effort, the Field Organizer will activate as many grassroots groups as possible in Montana for field programs provided by Flip the West and our partners organizations including: postcarding, phone banking, text-banking, vote-tripling and perhaps even door-to-door canvassing.

 

Qualifications: The candidate should possess at least 2 cycles of campaign experience in statewide or federal electoral or advocacy campaigns, or have equivalent experience in project and people management, and progressive volunteerism. The candidate should have the ability to manage diverse volunteers remotely while using a metric-driven approach, the ability to work independently, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining focused on program deadlines.

Pay Range: $3,000 to $4,000 per month (based upon prior campaign experience). This is a three-month Campaign Job Opportunity (August 2020 to November 2020).
