Request for Proposal
Strategic Planning and Facilitation
Purpose:
The Alliance for Middle East Peace is soliciting proposals from consultants experienced in strategic planning to lead the organization's staff and senior team through a long-range strategic planning process as the organization moves out of its "start-up" phase and moves into long-term growth and stability.
Specifically, the Alliance for Middle East Peace is seeking a consultant to provide the following services:
· Work with ALLMEP Executive Team to identify specific goals for the organization to pursue over the next five years in pursuit of its mission.
· Advise the Executive Team in the creation of a timetable of implementation with specific measurable benchmarks, objectives and tasks
· Assist the Executive Team in the development of internal processes to ensure more streamlined coordination and efficiency across three offices/time zones
· Lead and facilitate three 2 hour staff meetings related to the development of an effective strategic plan, developing clear goals for the future.
· Assist in the codification of conclusions into an easy-to-digest set of recommendations/decisions for implementation to be approved by the Board of Directors.
Background Information
Founded in 2006 and headquartered in Washington, D.C., with offices in Europe, Israel and Palestine, the Alliance for Middle East Peace (ALLMEP) envisions a future in which Israelis and Palestinians have built the trust necessary to live together in peace, dignity, and security.
On the ground, our expert team works with our almost 120 member organizations, drawn from both the shared society and cross-border community, to make them more than the sum of their parts. We incentivize cooperation and partnership, providing shared services, and work with members to hone their theory of change so that our community operates with greater strategic impact.
Internationally, our teams in the United States and Europe work to amplify the visibility of members in the media and in the corridors of power, and to ensure that the field is adequately resourced so that it can reach its inherent potential. This is not merely an ambition. To date, our advocacy has helped to introduce more than $130 million in international governmental support into the field, including the creation of USAID's Conflict Management and Mitigation Fund.
Scope
We expect this project to be between 15-20 hours of work over August 2020 at $100-$150/hour (approx. $2000)
Please send proposals to kevin@allmep.org.
