Voter Expansion Coordinator
Texas is the biggest battleground state in the country, and Texas Democrats are poised to win.
The Texas Democratic Party is hiring a Voter Expansion Coordinator to work within the Texas Democratic Party's dynamic Voter Expansion team.
Voter expansion, including both voter registration and vote-by-mail, is central to Texas Democrats' path to victory in 2020. From ensuring that every voter who wants to register to vote is able to do so safely and easily to running major statewide voter expansion mail programs, the Voter Expansion team is at the forefront of expanding the Texas electorate for the 2020 cycle.
Core Responsibilities:
Supporting the development and implementation of new voter expansion programs.
Helping execute large-scale proactive voter registration and vote-by-mail outreach and chase efforts.
Working with organizers, county parties, and campaigns to implement voter expansion programming.
Using digital tools to engage and educate Texans with regards to both voter registration and vote-by-mail.
Serving as a point of contact for organizers, county parties, campaigns in inquiring about voter registration or mail ballot application requests.
Reporting on concrete program metrics to reform and update strategy.
Additional duties as assigned by the Voter Expansion Director
Required Skills:
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines at once
Team building and motivating team members
Strong interpersonal and communications skills
Required Tools:
A reliable laptop
A reliable cell phone
Preferred Experience:
At least one election cycle of managing a field program (candidate campaign, independent expenditure effort, or labor union).
Experience organizing in communities of color and/or non-English-speaking communities.
Advanced spreadsheet and/or VAN experience a plus.
Texas ties and/or battleground state experience.
Passionate about expanding voting access in Texas.
Salary: $3,700/month
