Finance Assistant for Open Seat and #1 Congressional Pick up Opportunity in Florida
Alan Cohn's campaign for Congress in Florida's 15th Congressional District is seeking a Finance Assistant to bolster the campaign's fundraising operation heading into November after winning the primary this past Tuesday. FL-15 is a Lean R district and now an open seat with only 765 more Republicans than Democrats. It's the #1 pickup opportunity for Democrats in Florida and one of the most competitive districts in the country. The Deputy Field Director will have a key role in driving and leading the finance program in this key battleground district.
Alan is a Peabody award winning investigative journalist who has spent his life taking on powerful people and corporations, exposing corruption, and uncovering the truth. The Deputy Finance Director would join an already robust finance operation that outraised every Democrat and Republican in the race the previous 2 fundraising periods in a row.
Location: Tampa, Florida
Responsibilities
- Assist Finance Director in executing and implementing the finance plan
- Perform Donor research to help grow the campaign's support network
- Assist with any digital or in-person events as necessary.
- Help manage the campaign's fundraising database
- Work with the Call time Manager to help prepare for candidate call time and ensure that it's successful
- Other duties as assigned to ensure success of the finance team.
The Right Person will
- Be a fast learner who is organized and has a high-attention to detail
- Have a high level of creativity and will constantly question conventional knowledge and the traditional ways campaigns raise money
- Possess a can-do attitude and constantly think about how we can exceed what seems possible
- Preferably have one cycle serving in a finance role on a campaign, state party, organization, or digital firm. However it is not necessary. We're ready to teach the right people everything they need to know in order to be successful.
