Position: Data Coordinator
Location: Various Locations, WA
The Data Coordinator serves as a general assistant to the Data Director and Data Manager and helps with voter file
administration, Votebuilder support, and outreach/training to all our 88 local parties and local campaigns throughout
Washington State. The fundamental role of the Data Coordinator is to assist in administering the voterfile and assist with
data analytics.
The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who thrives under pressure and is willing to do what is necessary to
get the job done. The Coordinator ideally has a deep understanding of field organizing and Votebuilder. The person in
this position will be expected to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends, and must have access to a laptop
and have reliable, consistent, strong internet. The Data Coordinator will report to the Data Director. The salary for this
position is $49,008/year with health care, mileage, and phone stipends. The position is part of a union collective
bargaining agreement and is a full-time position that will run through November of 2020.
This position will:
● Create and lead regular trainings on the use of our data systems.
● Maintain data integrity within Votebuilder via regular Voterfile updates, protocol for keeping the database
organized, and ongoing maintenance.
● Familiarity with Excel including formulas and analysis.
● Prior community organizing experience (paid, volunteer or internship).
● Experience and familiarity with NGP/VAN platform is highly desired.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly and proactively both internally
and with external partners and vendors.
● A passion for social justice and a commitment to Democratic Party values.
● A friendly and professional member-first demeanor.
● Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
● Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment.
● A desire to dig into new tools and learn new systems.
● Experience in customer service or IT.
● Experience with SQL, Python, or R.
