Title: Creative Producer 
 

POSITION OVERVIEW

Jon Ossoff for U.S. Senate is looking for a creative content producer/editor to join our Atlanta based campaign! The Producer / Editor will be someone who is well rounded in digital media production with an understanding of – and passion for – producing videos that are accurate, concise, timely, and help explain complex political and economic issues to a general audience. Primary tasks will include editing video content, writing social content, and assisting in some social media management operations. This person will work with the Digital Director to produce creative content to be distributed on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. This person must feel comfortable with data and finding appropriate visual examples to emotionally enhance and add clarity to scripts.

The ideal candidate will bring to life a script and understand what images will provide the best juxtaposition with the narrative at any given moment. This person must be a creative thinker and team player who can thrive in a fast-paced environment with a willingness to take on tasks outside their primary role. 

THE EDITOR/PRODUCER WILL:

  • Edit videos with a fast news schedule turnaround, including "rapid response" videos on the same (or following) day they are shot, mirroring our editing style and using our graphics packages

  • Draft copy for and help manage our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube accounts 

  • Meticulously manage and organize project files and deliverables 

  • Use knowledge of politics and the news cycle 

  • Be equally comfortable collaborating with a team or working independently from concept to completion

  • Be self-motivated and able to handle competing priorities and shifting deadline

  • Be able to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude

QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • 1+ years of video editing experience
  • Expertise in Adobe Premiere
  • Intermediate knowledge of After Effects & Photoshop
  • Project Management: Maintaining a social calendar, managing multiple scripts and updating stakeholders on their progress
  • Flexibility and comfort working in a fast-paced environment, including to capitalize on unanticipated opportunities related to the news cycle

Title: Digital Content Strategist/Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW

Jon Ossoff for U.S. Senate is hiring a Digital Content Strategist to develop engaging content for social media, email, digital ads, SMS and more. The Digital Content Strategist will produce core social media content across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and more, and help maintain our digital content calendar across all digital channels.

Candidates should be excellent writers with a keen eye for grammar and punctuation and have some experience in graphic design and video editing or be willing to learn new media editing skills. The ideal candidate is highly creative and is able to generate new ideas for fundraising, mobilizing voters, and creating community among volunteers.

We are looking for candidates that are ready to roll with the punches that come with campaign jobs, try new things (even if that means making mistakes!), and contribute to our growing and passionate team. 

This position will be remote until it is safe to relocate to the campaign's headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. 

In this position you will: 

  • Write day-to-day social media content 

  • Manage Jon Ossoff social media accounts

  • Coordinate with coordinated campaign to develop volunteer recruitment content, social media from the road, and more 

  • Produce basic graphics, GIFs, and video 

Top things we're looking for: 

  • Strong commitment to Democratic politics and ideals and enthusiasm for electing Jon Ossoff to the U.S. Senate

  • 1-4 years experience creating content, managing social media, and/or writing email for a campaign, organization, or company

  • Strong writing skills 

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, shifting environment and produce solid rapid response content

Not required but a plus if you have: 

  • Fluency in a second language

  • Adobe Suite knowledge / Graphic design experience 

  • Experience in HTML/CSS, NGP, and ActBlue

  • Experience on a campaign
