Dear GAIN POWER: Jobs That Are Left members:
Happy Election Day!!! Can you believe it is here? I'm more than a bit anxious right now, but I believe we will win. I wanted to drop our community a quick note to wish you luck, say thank you, and to let you know we're planning all sorts of events for you after today. This listserv is made up of some of the most impactful people in Democratic & Progressive politics.
Whether you are working for the Presidential campaign, a Senate race or a local legislative candidate, an issue or ballot measure campaign, or a community cause, we appreciate you. Regardless of whether you volunteered, donated, texted, called, made or shared creative message focused content, organized and mobilized voters, marched, protested, or in another way contributing to winning tomorrow up and down the ballot, I want to express gratitude for your dedication to reclaiming our country.
No matter what happens, many of you will need new jobs, clients, and contracts or gigs, while others who are still employed will want to make professional changes. Regardless of the outcomes Wednesday, we will begin a significant historic transition and transformative time. GAIN POWER is organizing online events, webinars, and large virtual conference before this year is over to promote and celebrate all of you.
We are launching a series of virtual activities for Progressive political practitioners to help make contacts and connections and learn about opportunities to rebuild our country. We miss in-person celebrations and conferences, but we are happy these virtual venues allow everyone to participate no matter where you are. We'll have networking, training, career advice, panels, and more to lift up working in our fantastic community of Democratic & Progressive practitioners. GAIN POWER is a new media platform building a market space for the people, organizations, and events that make up the Progressive movement. If you have an event, program, product, or resource to share - GAIN POWER is the place to promote your work. When you have a few minutes to catch your breath, we hope you join our community so you can get to know each other. Please take the time to sign up or update your profile and start to engage. We have pages, groups, forums, and events to help you make real connections and promote your work.
GAIN POWER is for everyone interested in progressive politics no matter what your status is - we're building much more than a job board - we're building a community and home for you to network and market. We hope you kick ass today so we can celebrate tomorrow, but we are patient and believe it is essential to take all the time our election administrators need to make sure every vote is counted - so if that takes a few more days - no big deal. We'll be here for it.
We'll tell you more after the election but keep an eye on our event page for some exciting events. If you want to partner or sponsor these events, you can sign up now: GAIN POWER, GROW YOUR CAREER AND MAKE AN IMPACT post-election virtual programs and conferences.

Important Election Day information. If you missed it, please find an overview of what information the Voter Protection team requests be shared to address and resolve incidents and additional resources.
- HOW TO REPORT ISSUES TO VOTER PROTECTION
If an individual voter has a question or faces a barrier to voting, they should call the National Voter Assistance Hotline: 1-833-336-8683. If you want to relay an incident to the Voter Protection team, please ask the following questions before passing along the report so that the Voter Protection team has the information it needs to address the issue:
- WHO is affected, and WHO can we contact on the ground?
- WHAT is the exact barrier to voting?
- In WHICH county and, if possible, which polling place is the incident occurring?
- How recently did the incident occur?
- How many voters are affected?
- How long has this problem been going on?
- Is the issue still going on or being fixed?
- Is this incident attracting media attention?
- HOW VOTER PROTECTION RESPONDS TO INCIDENTS
The Voter Protection team helps individual voters resolve issues they face that prevent them from voting and focuses on broader trends affecting large numbers of people from voting. Incidents affecting individuals will be shared with state boiler rooms. For more immediate assistance, individuals should contact the hotline. The National Voter Assistance Hotline number is 1-833-336-8683. Also, each battleground state has a voter protection hotline. If the affected voter is in a battleground state, they should call their state's Voter Protection hotline:
- Arizona (833) 868-3429
- Colorado (720) 580-0148
- Florida (833) 868-3352

Sending more gratitude and prayers for a safe and successful peaceful election. I never thought I'd have to worry about election violence in the US, but here we are.
Finally, If you need some last-minute motivation - I strongly recommend these videos for Joe Biden. Turn them up and repeat Eminem: One Opportunity. This one with Jennifer Hudson and the Black Eyed Peas: The Love. Let's do this, people! Sending all kinds of blessings and good karma to you all. Stay positive and focused.
