Given the serious threat to progressive values across Florida, Equal Ground Education Fund/Action Fund has begun an effort to engage the rising American Electorate through civic engagement activities with a goal to build and expand current capacity in Black communities. We will be hiring staff to implement a plan in support of this effort.
Mission: Within communities of color, we advise, empower, and evaluate political representation to create vital change through civic engagement, strategic planning, and social impact. We train, mobilize, and educate because we believe that an engaged community is a powerful community.
Position Summary
As our Digital Organizer, you will oversee the direction, production, and overarching strategy of the compelling content ideated and written for our committee while facilitating the organization of volunteers and supporters in both physical and digital means. You'll also participate in strategic conversations and decisions about content strategy and set and implement processes that allow us to be as efficient as possible.
Description
Oversee day-to-day workflow of digital content
Manage, hire, and train digital content interns
Recruit and train campaign volunteers
Identify and implement opportunities for creative messaging and campaign concepts, and participate in strategic conversations and decisions
Work with the candidate produce effective and innovative digital-first videos and graphics
Produce content for all digital media — videos, websites, advertising campaigns, email marketing, social media, and more
Location: Orange County, Florida or remote for the right fit.
Compensation: This position pays $36,000 annually plus benefits.
