Maya Wiley for Mayor is hiring a full-time Senior Advisor of Mobilization to be an integral member of the Executive Leadership team, who will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the entirety of the voter contact program including organizing, digital and data. . The Senior Advisor of Mobilization will report to the Campaign Manager. The position will be based in New York City and may include some travel. This is a cycle position with a start date of January 2021 and will conclude upon the ending of the campaign. There should be no assumption of employment post campaign.
Responsibilities include:
Direct and coordinate the work of the campaign's direct voter contact efforts;
Manage the Organizing Team, which includes the Data Team, Training, and Digital Organizing Team;
Help design and execute pathway to victory;
Work with general consultant, media consultant and pollsters to ensure that paid media aligns with direct voter contact goals;
Serve as a member of the Executive Team and provide high level strategic advice and guidance;
Help manage candidate time and attention toward voter outreach efforts and priorities;
Align overlapping equities between political and organizing teams around voter education efforts for rank choice voting;
Partner with finance team to ensure success of small donor efforts;
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
3-4 cycles of experience working in Organizing
Experience writing and executing a field plan which includes small dollar events and digital organizing
Experience and knowledge of the 5 Boroughs
Ability to recruit, hire, and manage a diverse team
Ability to work in a high pressure environment, and meet tight timelines
Practice managing multiple competing priorities at the same time
Be willing and able to work long hours, including nights and weekends
Be creative and ready to try new things in a primarily online environment
Passion for electing Maya Wiley to be the first woman Mayor of New York City
Benefits include health insurance, flexible PTO, and salary is $120,000.
