Job Description for Fundraising Associate:

We are looking for an eager and intelligent campaign finance staffer to join the Left Rising team to coordinate fundraising activities for our client campaigns and organizations. Applicants must have a passion for campaign finance. 1+ years of experience within the campaign world is preferred but not required. 

The work is remotely based. This work may include any of the duties and responsibilities below, or otherwise reasonably expected in the course of finance consulting. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

Assisting in Client Management 

● Aiding senior associates and directors in onboard clients and set up databases, tracking, and reporting 

● Learn, execute, and help adjust comprehensive finance plans and write weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for each client. 

● Participate in recruitment and hiring of client's finance staff



Call time staffing, data management, research, and prospecting 

● Staff call time for the candidate or organization OR coordinate with the campaign call time manager to both facilitate efficient call time and ensure databases are organized and up to date 

● Identify prospective donors and conduct research 

● Track and ensure all required follow up from calls is completed 

Events 

● Work with senior associates and directors to schedule, develop, and run fundraisers 

● When needed, prepare necessary briefing materials

Other Finance Staff responsibilities 

● Finance Intern/Volunteer Program management (recruitment, training, management) 

● When needed, assist in drafting fundraising emails, event invites, and donation pages. 

Qualifications 

● Experience working directly on a campaign in fundraising preferred, particularly in a finance department, but not required

● Applicants must be highly organized and have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment 

● Ability to work long hours if needed, including occasional nights and weekends 

● A detail-oriented team player 

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

● Ability to manage multiple projects at once 

● Experience with Google Drive is required; experience with NGP, ActBlue, EveryAction is preferred but not required
