Hi all! I'm a candidate for New York City Council seeking to represent my neighborhood of Central Harlem, District 9. We're currently looking for talented applicants to interview for the Field Organizer position.
I announced my candidacy four months ago and the reception has been energetic. 130 people have signed-up to volunteer and 30 have already done so.
The Field Organizer will grow, direct and motivate this team of volunteers in gathering signatures to qualify for the ballot and voter contact activities thereafter.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Directly reporting to campaign manager, executing voter contact plan and aggregating feedback from voters in reports
Growing team of volunteers by building relationships with community stakeholders and reaching out to a targeted list
Training volunteers and organizing phonebanks, textbanks, in-person petition signature canvasses and other activities
Cultivating a positive team culture that keeps volunteers coming back
Be highly organized, manage recruitment data and manage volunteers
The ability to be in Harlem on a daily basis eventually
To apply, submit a short statement summarizing your experience and interest in Mario's campaign to mario@marioforharlem.nyc
Compensation $3000-$3500 / month. EO/AA
*The campaign is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability gender identity, or sexual orientation.*
Best,
Mario
