An insurgent-style progressive candidate in the Richmond area is seeking a self-driven, passionate manager for his campaign for the Virginia House of Delegates. This candidate is running on an anti-corporate, environmental and criminal justice reform platform and needs a seasoned manager to coordinate field, fundraising, and communications efforts.
This position begins immediately and will run through the June 8th primary. Remote start is possible with notice with the expectation to be based in the Richmond area on a fairly quick timeline.
Primary Duties Include:
Preparing for and running call time with the candidate
Writing and posting social media posts
Managing the candidate's volunteer team
Helping refine messaging and platform points
Managing community outreach efforts with the goal of building a diverse political coalition
Maintaining a campaign budget
Overseeing the execution of a robust field program
Desired Experience/Qualifications:
Previous fundraising experience highly desired
Excellent organizational skills, the ability to accomplish short and long term goals
The ability manage a large, diverse team of volunteers
Previous experience working on an insurgent-style campaign is a plus
Familiarity with Virginia progressive politics
The ability to work campaign hours, including weekends and evenings
Compensation: Salary for this position is $4,000 per month
