Ellen Young For NY City Council is seeking energetic and passionate individuals to join our team as Campaign Fellows. Ellen was the first Asian woman elected to the New York State Assembly, where she championed groundbreaking legislation to support working people. As a small business owner and community leader, she is running to support the people of Flushing and Murray Hill. Our team's goal is to build a strong community-powered movement to elect Ellen to City Council District 20.
This Fellowship is a wide-ranging program designed to develop skills and experience for the next generation of community organizers. While no two days on a campaign are ever quite the same, all Fellows will be responsible for the following:
- Connect with voters over the phone and social media
- Recruit and train volunteers
- Implement direct voter contact efforts in accordance with COVID safety precautions
- Hone the campaign's persuasion messaging
- Build positive relationships with the community
- Aid the voter outreach program with special projects
- Gain proficient in office productivity software, including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and G-Suite (Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive)
- Expand the campaign's digital and social media profile
Applicants will be interviewed and accepted on a rolling basis. This is an unpaid position.
