Schneider for Congress (Northbrook, Illinois) is looking for a Finance and Field Assistant to join the campaign team for the remainder of the 2022 election cycle. This unique position will have a combination of fundraising and field duties, allowing this individual to have well-rounded exposure to a variety of areas. An ideal candidate will have a high interest in political campaigns and desire to learn about fundraising skills as well as educating voters.
Start Date:
August 2022
Compensation:
$3500 per month plus healthcare stipend.
Location:
Office located in Northbrook, IL and events located around IL-10
Description of Duties:
Primary Responsibilities
Prepare fundraising call sheets and assist in call time follow-up
Maintain donor and contributions database and related spreadsheets
Assist with fundraising events, including by preparing necessary materials and staffing events
Engage in direct voter contact such as canvassing and phone banking
Plan, recruit for, and train volunteers for direct voter contact efforts to door-to-door canvassing and phone banks
Additional organizing tasks as assigned by manager
Job Requirements:
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with others effectively and clearly
Good organizational habits; an ability to meet deadlines and manage several tasks at once
Ability to regularly work nights and on weekends
Flexibility, adaptability, and the capability to work independently and as part of a team
Desire to ask questions, receive constructive feedback, and grow as a professional
Commitment to equity and inclusion in working with fellow staff and volunteers
Access to a smartphone, laptop and comfortable learning and adapting to new technology
Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
