Field Director:
A Field Director is the very core, the backbone, of any campaign. They are the frontline troops who are tasked with spreading the candidate's message, identifying supporters, and turning those supporters into voters on Election Day.
In order to do this, a Field Director must be able to execute three primary objectives:
Recruitment, Training, and Hiring
Ensuring that recruitment goals are achieved throughout the duration of the program
Oversight of the complete interviewing process and retention of all successful field staff
Ensuring the successful training and orientation of all field staff
Field Canvass Management
Providing field organizers with a positive leadership culture, resources, guidance, and technical support required to succeed during each phase of the program while ensuring compliance with all campaign guidelines
Promoting the continued development of field organizers in their day-to-day duties and responsibilities over the course of the program
Accountability
Communicating all pertinent on-the-ground information
Ensuring that the field team maintains accurate and reliable data
Providing campaign leadership with daily quantitative and qualitative reports as part of an ongoing evaluation of the program's success
Qualifications:
Must have 2 cycles of democratic campaign experience, including one cycle of staff management
Strong interest and understanding of voter data and analytics
Excellent organizational skills
Knowledge of campaign strategy
Knowledge of candidate's stance on issues
Strong communication skills
Positive, go-getter attitude
Ability to innovate and take responsibility
Proficiency in Expert Knowledge of the Voter Action Network
