With election day just 9 days away, we need you immediately in a hotly contested special election for the Virginia House of Delegates. We're seeking talented Deputy Field Organizers (DFO's) for a Democratic win in the 34th District. DFO's will support our fantastic field team in preparing for and executing Get Out The Vote (GOTV) efforts. This entry-level, paid position is a great opportunity to build valuable campaign experience and get your foot in the door. Position begins immediately through January 7th and is based out of either our McLean, VA or Sterling, VA offices. McLean offices are accessible by metro.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are implementing a volunteer-based voter contact program, proven to be the most effective community organizing strategy. The primary responsibilities of a Deputy Field Organizer are to help the District Field Staff reach their volunteer recruitment and voter contact goals through phone calls and door-to-door canvassing.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
· Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills, experience meeting deadlines, and the ability to manage many tasks· Candidates must be self-motivated and willing to work long hours· Candidates must have the ability to communicate with diverse communities and leaders· Candidates will preferably have their own vehicle or other mode of transportation· A good sense of humor and a strong commitment to electing Democrats
