Environment America seeks a smart, creative and committed person to drive and expand our digital campaigning for our Global Warming Solutions campaigns. We want a committed and creative person with a good strategic sense and strong writing, graphic design and digital skills to drive and build the online aspects of our global warming solutions campaigns. You will work closely with the global warming program team, including advocates and organizers for the campaign.
Job responsibilities include:
1.Generating Visibility: Developing and shaping the public narrative for our online work on global warming campaigns; including social media and our websites.
· Test, develop, and execute email campaigns that build our lists, generate action and raise money for our efforts.
· Develop and execute rapid response materials for our social channels to support the campaign and organize our supporters.
· Respond to and engage with our supporters daily.
· Write and develop content for our websites and blogs that reinforce our global warming campaign's story.
2. List growth and audience development: You'll grow our list of global warming solutions supporters through organic acquisition, and increase both social reach and active list participation by developing creative campaign actions, reactivation campaigns, and on-boarding series.
3. Fundraising: Write strong fundraising emails that activate our supporters to fund our global warming solutions campaigns; including proposing successful campaign tactics and working with program team to incorporate them into the campaign plans.
4. Relationship building: Develop and cultivate relationships with people and organizations who will share our content and collaborate with us on building and mobilizing our lists. Specifically, you will be responsible for:
· Getting key influencers and other organizations to share our content with their networks.
· Working with other groups to develop 'chaperoned' email campaigns to grow our list and reach.
5. Move our supporters from online to offline Work with Campaign Organizers and state directors to recruit our online supporters to get involved offline by attending events and volunteering.
· Create and maintain basic online event pages and materials, like sign-up forms and Facebook events.
· Assist with targeting and email delivery for recruitment emails written by campaign staff.
6. Tracking and Analysis Compile data and report back to the program team and Digital Organizing teams about the results of your work, anticipate and report on trends in the field, etc.
7. Building the Public Interest Network's Digital Organizing Team.
· Recruiting staff and interns.
· Internal communications, weekly posts for the Public Interest Networks staff intranet site.
· Run and participate in trainings for Environment America staff and other organizations in the Public Interest Network.
Location: Denver, CO
