Summary: The Director of Digital & Social Media Strategy is an instrumental role within the marketing organization and serves as the paid digital advertising and social/content media subject matter expert within MOKO Social Media. The Director will work with MOKO Social Media's various external agencies and internal stakeholders to establish an overarching digital and social media strategy that encompasses paid display advertising, earned and distributed content (both written and video), and social media.

Duties and Responsibilities:  
Working with internal teams and external agency partners, this role will:
  • Develop key metrics to measure results and aid in optimization of all digital media
  • Develop strategic and creative briefs designed to integrate with Brand and Corporate initiatives, as well as deliver on key KPIs
  • Develop concepts that follow the strategic brief requirements
  • Develop Digital and Social components and executions after concept approval
  • Lead Digital executions and implementation across the following areas:

Content/Social Media 
  • Manage, coordinate, and lead the execution of all Social Media campaigns
  • Coordinate and work with the content and PR teams to support hybrid/parallel Earned Media executions
  • Create a content strategy based on high priority keywords and key corporate initiatives, with heavy emphasis on brand awareness and engagement
  • Develop a social strategy based on meeting brand awareness goals across all social networks (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Google+, YouTube) and track followers/likes on each
  • Monitor social "triggers" on all social networks, message boards, forums, fan sites, etc. and leverage them for brand awareness/engagement opportunities
Paid Media/Display Advertising
  • Develop Paid Media campaigns in digital outlets, as well as manage all optimization of variable media (Paid Social, Display, or any other optimizable outlets)
  • Lead Display marketing efforts to generate brand awareness and engagement through profile and segmentation targeting on Quantcast and various Ad Exchanges
  • Report all results from Owned/Earned/Paid Digital executions, leveraging PR and media teams
  • Work closely with the SEM/Performance Media team to ensure alignment across teams and agencies
  • Develop and deploy iterative testing methodologies to improve campaign performance
  • Be an active participant in Attribution Modeling – lending expertise and ensuring all digital touch points are accurately tracked and measured
Requirements:  
  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of hands-on digital marketing and social media experience, preferably in a Direct-To-Consumer organization.
  • An "early adopter" who is tuned in to the latest developments and innovations in the Social Media space 
  • Experience overseeing a full 360-degree social strategy: media, content, community management, moderation, and analytics. Highly analytical and strong understanding of performance metrics as they relate to social endeavors 
  • Previous experience merging CRM and social strategy across multiple media verticals 
  • Fundamental knowledge of social advertising opportunities across the major social platforms 
  • Experience in participating successful new business pitches 
  • Proficient in areas outside of Social Media (insight, SEO, PPC market research, mobile, and traditional media) 
  • Previous experience with PPC campaigns and Display Ad Networks (GDN or Quantcast) and Ad Exchanges is strongly desired
  • Experience in SEO and Social Media marketing with such tools as BrightEdge, Sysomos, and/or SalesForce/Radian6 will be critical
  • Proven leadership and the ability to move a group and/or organization forward 
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills with engaging presentation skills
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, monitor, and respond to changes quickly
  • Friendly, diplomatic, and imperturbable self-starter with the willingness and desire to take initiative and get the job done
  • Previous experience with content strategy, creation, and distribution
  • Demonstrated leadership in digital strategy and able to present insightful analysis to senior management for complex campaigns.
  • Advanced knowledge of social media platforms and best practices
  • Advanced knowledge of digital advertising and ad serving platforms
  • Working knowledge of web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics and Omniture; able to draw insightful conclusions from the data and make actionable recommendations to senior management
  • Strong copywriting and grammar skills
  • Highly detail oriented with a passion for organization
  • Comfortable in working under tight deadlines
  • The desire to tackle challenging and diverse tasks
  • Exhibits sound judgment in making decisions
  • Effectively communicate, both up and down the management chain
  • Effectively cope with stressful situations
  • Strong mental acuity
