Overview
Our Oregon is a 501(c)(4) organization dedicated to fighting for economic and social fairness for all Oregonians. Our coalition represents organizations and individuals who care about a range of issues, from preserving funding for our schools and critical services to protecting the environment to fighting for workers and economic justice.
The minimum wage coalition will work in conjunction with the Fair Shot Coalition and dozens of partner organizations to organize and execute a statewide, issue-based campaign to raise Oregon's minimum wage.
Duties & Qualifications:
The coalition Field Director will plan and manage a statewide field program to identify and amplify supporters in targeted regions of Oregon. The Field Director will set ambitious goals and support – and hold accountable – organizing staff across the state. Because we are a coalition of partners, the Field Director will also build, maintain and strengthen relationships with partner organization leadership while tracking and guiding the work of partner organizers across the state working in support of raising Oregon's minimum wage.
A belief in, and commitment to empowering communities to take the power to change their state into their own hands through effective organizing tactics is central to this campaign's success. The Field Director must embody and enforce this value at every level of the field organization. Must be willing to frequently work evenings and weekends.
