LEAD RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

 

The Lead Research Associate is a member of the Field Department.  The Field Department coordinates, monitors and supports the quantitative and qualitative research process both in the U.S. and internationally. The Lead research Associate works with Firm’s analytical staff to place surveys and focus groups at calling houses/focus group facilities and assists with oversight to ensure timeliness, quality, and cost.

 

 

Core functions include:

  • Improves the scope of GQRR’s research services with advanced focus on resource management and methodological analysis

·       Coordination of research schedule with vendors and analysts

·       Managing daily communications with vendors both domestically and internationally

·       Oversee recruitment and logistics for focus groups

·       Work with analysts on sampling and quotas design

·       Gather population demographics to assist with weighting and projections (aimed at achieving a representative sample)

·       Control and negotiate vendor costs

·       Occasionally provide in-person training of vendors on methodology and operations

 

Required Qualifications:

·       Position requires a bachelor’s degree (political science, statistics or relevant field)

·       2-3 years of political campaign/professional work experience

·       Proven Intermediate / advanced knowledge of survey research, statistical software (STATA, SPSS, etc.)

·       Exposure to data collection techniques including telephone, cell phone, mail and internet based studies. 

·       Excellent communication skills

·       The ability to manage many tasks simultaneously, excellent prioritization skills, ability to work quickly, accurately and creatively under tight timelines Outstanding attention to detail.

·       Intermediate/advanced Excel proficiency. 

·       Some travel required
