San Francisco ballot measure campaign is looking for a Digital Director with the expertise to implement a sophisticated digital program for the November 2015 election in San Francisco. The Digital Director will report to the Campaign Manager and be responsible for managing a small team of digital organizing staff.

The Digital Director will oversee the development, direction, and execution of the online strategy for campaign's entire digital program. The Digital Director and their team will work with senior campaign staff to create and deliver digital content that attracts supporters across multiple channels of digital communications including website, mobile communications, email, social media, blog posts, newsletters, and much more.

 

Duties include:

·        Create and manage the development, maintenance and distribution of content for different digital channels; creates successful strategies using Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and other social media tools.

·        Build and manage a community of voters and create ways to keep them engaged digitally.

·        Target and strategically place online ads to target potential voters

·        Create and manage the campaign website

·        Manage the voter registration portal and data, including assisting organizers with voter file matching.

·        Formulate Social Media campaign strategies.

·        Recruit and manage online organizing volunteers.

·        Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

·        Minimum 2-5 years professional experience in digital communications for political campaigns

·        1+ cycle in senior digital content role with a candidate/ballot measure campaign or with elected official.

·        Proven track record for development and execution of digital campaign strategies.

·        Experience planning and executing paid digital media advertising campaigns (search, social media, retargeting, list chaperoning, ads, etc.).

·        Proficiency with HTML, Nationbuilder, Wordpress, and Adobe Creative Suite preferred.

·        Must be willing to work long and irregular 'campaign-style' hours

·        Ability to be creative and responsive in a fast-paced political and digital environment.

·        Excellent writing and communications skills across digital platforms
