Competitive Fairfax County, Virginia Supervisor Race seeks self-motivated, organized, and enthusiastic individuals to join the 2015 campaign team as Field Organizers. Field Organizers are responsible for building a volunteer network and executing a local field strategy throughout the district.
Responsibilities:
- Implementing the field plan through direct voter contact with targeted voters
- Recruiting, training, and managing volunteers on how to effectively ID, persuade, and turn out voters- Building relationships with volunteers and enacting a positive volunteer experience on the campaign
- Meeting or exceeding daily voter contact and volunteer recruitment goals- Organizing and building turnout for campaign and community events
- Conducting thorough data entry of all information gathered through field efforts
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a large team of volunteers
- Interest in political campaigns and grassroots organizing
- Good attitude and outgoing personality; must be comfortable conducting volunteer trainings and speaking with voters door to door
- Familiarity with VoteBuilder/VAN is preferred but not required
- Willingness to work long hours and weekends
