The campaign is currently seeking individuals that are committed to grassroots organizing, social justice, policy development, community engagement and the love of politics.  You want to be a part of this progressive campaign as it's just kicking-off and looking to hire exceptional individuals and volunteers for key positions on the campaign. Chief Strategist

The Chief Campaign Strategist is responsible for all strategic aspects of the campaign. We're seeking a person for this positions that has a basic understanding of election strategy, be comfortable delegating, have good organizational skills and be able to work well with the candidate. The Chief Campaign Strategist works in conjunction with the candidate, senior advisors and the entire team to develop the campaign strategy and coordinate all aspects of the organization, from fundraising to paid media to voter contact activities. Reports to Candidate, Senior Advisors , Senior Policy Advisor and Campaign Co-Chairs.

 

 

Director of Community Relations

The Director of Community Relations is responsible for communicating the campaigns community strategies and effectively building public relationships with key constituencies within the district.  Also introduce newly identified resources that maximize internal and external outreach.  Furthermore, the director of community relations promote public involvement with established campaign goals. The director of community relations must interpret and strategically address public concerns in line with the campaign and the candidate. Reports to the Chief Strategist and Senior Advisors.

 

Volunteer Coordinator

The volunteer coordinator is responsible for recruiting, scheduling, and organizing the volunteer team. Because volunteers are not paid and are often unskilled, the coordinator needs to be able to smooth over egos and trouble spots and effectively teach the volunteers new skills. The volunteer coordinator should be comfortable delegating duties to committee people and block captains. Reports to the Chief Strategist and Director of Community Relations.

Fundraising Director

The fundraising director is responsible for coordinating all of the fundraising tools at the campaign's disposal to reach the fundraising goal that the team has set on the timetable on which they have set it. The fundraising director guides the campaign's major donor and direct mail fundraising programs, and oversees fundraising events. Also, the fundraising director must have a basic knowledge of campaign finance regulations. Reports to the Treasurer and Chief Campaign Strategist.

Grassroots/ Field Coordinator

The grassroots/field coordinator oversees all of the grassroots activities of the campaign, including coalitions; get out the vote, absentee voter drives, voter registration efforts, and other grassroots activities. In conjunction with the volunteer director you'll, oversees the whole operation, with volunteers filling in as needed. The grassroots coordinator must have superb organizational skills, be knowledgeable about campaign strategy, and be able to take on a lot of responsibility, especially as Election Day draws near. Reports to the Chief Strategist and Senior Advisors.

 

Communications Coordinator

The Communications Coordinator will develop, implement, and evaluate the campaigns communications plan. Lead the generation of online content with the Webmaster that engages constituents and donors that leads to measurable action. Decide who, where, and when to disseminate materials. Put communications vehicles in place to create momentum and awareness as well as to test the effectiveness of communications activities. Manage the development, distribution, and maintenance of all print and electronic collateral including, but not limited to, press releases, brochures, palm cards and website content. Mentor and lead a team member responsible for campaigns website administration and coordination in conjunction with the Webmaster. Coordinate webpage maintenance—ensure that new and consistent information (article links, stories, and events) is posted regularly. Track and measure the level of engagement within the campaign over time. Additionally, manage all media contacts. Reports to the Candidate, Chief Strategist, Senior Advisors.
