WHO WE ARE: Generation Forward is a multi-candidate, independent-expenditure political action committee that will be active in the 2016 presidential election, supporting Democratic Presidential Candidate Governor Martin O'Malley. We are a PAC like none other. We are not your typical super PAC – focused on yesterday's dark politics. The way we get dirty is working hard in the field for a new generation of leaders. We will build on the tremendous energy of campaigns that inspired Martin O'Malley to run. Every one of his campaigns, and every real movement in this country, began with community organizing. That's why Generation Forward is starting with our friends, families and neighbors - and the belief that we can do better by working together. It is time to pass the torch of leadership, and we're looking for talented team members to join us.
POSITION OVERVIEW AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Generation Forward is seeking Regional Field Directors for the 2016 Iowa Presidential Primary Democratic Caucus. Under the supervision of the Iowa Field Director, the Regional Field Directors will be responsible to:
· Hire, train and manage a team of field organizers
· Oversee and manage a regional field office
· Execute the state field plan within his/her assigned region
· Implement systems of accountability to ensure that regional goals are consistently met
· Coordinate regional events and field organizer trainings at the local level
· Serve as the face of the campaign in your region and representing the campaign at local meetings and events
· Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, allied organizations and other community leaders in the field
· Manage all data and reporting of daily field goals to the Iowa Field Director
QUALIFICATIONS:
· 1+ cycles of campaign field experience - preferably with at least one cycle as a Regional Field Director
· Iowa experience preferred, but not required
· Knowledge and understanding of the Iowa Caucus system
· Extensive experience with and ability to train on Votebuilder (VAN)
· Have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
· Be willing and available to work long hours
· Have strong communication and public speaking skills
· Have strong organization skills with an attention to detail
· Be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
· Be a self starter and motivated worker
REQUIREMENTS:
· Must have car and personal laptop
· Must be able to arrive in Iowa (exact location TBD) immediately
