OVERVIEW:
LCV works to turn environmental values into national, state and local priorities. LCV, in collaboration with our state LCV partners, advocates for sound environmental laws and policies, holds elected officials accountable for their votes and actions, and elects pro-environment candidates who will champion our priority issues.
THE POSITION: To recruit, train, and develop a team of highly motivated and skilled team of community organizers who are committed to meeting LCV's ambitious political, membership and fundraising goals.
SALARY:
Based on experience; starting pay level is $35,000 - $40,000.
BENEFIT PACKAGE:
Full health insurance, ten paid holidays, twelve vacation days, eleven sick days, travel per diem, opportunities for ongoing professional development including tuition and travel to professional conferences.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Demonstrated ability and success in field canvassing, community organizing, and fundraising.
· Experience developing a recruitment plan utilizing online platforms, campus engagement techniques, and other methods to source a robust grassroots team.
· Involvement with cultivating leaders through mentoring and coaching.
· Established excellent training and supervising methods with a direct emphasis on high standards.
· Skilled communicator with public speaking prowess and effective writing skills.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
· Recruit and interview potential employees.
· Prepare a daily plan and canvass materials to facilitate office performance.
· Lead daily trainings.
· Demonstrate leadership by successfully canvassing.
· Organize and prepare all office paperwork to streamline national processing.
· Strategically plan techniques that improve recruitment, staff size, and office performance.
· Develop an order of operations pertaining to membership acquisition.
