Dynamic and experimental nonpartisan campaign to register and engage new voters looking for part time phone bankers. Talk to San Francisco voters and educate them about local issues while working on a campaign this year. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants experience on campaigns ahead of a major election year!
We're not just committed to registering people, we're also going to make sure they vote and that's what you'll be working towards. This demands an energetic, creative, and fun person comfortable with talking to many people in an hour. You'll get people excited about local elections and change how San Francisco votes using fun new technology.
So if you are passionate about voter engagement, local politics, want to interact with local San Franciscans, and get paid doing it, this is for you.
When is it: September 1, 2015-November 3, 2015.
What is it: Up to 20 hours a week for $15/hour from Mondays - Thursdays 5pm - 9pm.
Responsibilities:
Be a part of getting out the vote! Talk to San Francisco voters and get them excited about local elections.
Have several conversations while adhering to script guidelines during 5 hour shifts.
Accurately record and keep track of call responses in digital phone bank software.
Qualifications:
Must speak English fluently. Ability to speak Chinese or Spanish a plus.
Must have a smartphone that you can download an app and use wifi.
Must be comfortable having several conversations per hour.
Must be comfortable working early evening hours and some potential weekends.
Experience in a customer service oriented role or campaigns preferred but not required.
Physical requirements include the ability to spend many hours on the telephone and working with a computer, as well as sitting, talking, and listening during 5 hour shifts.
Must be comfortable with evening hours.
