Our firm, located on Capitol Hill, has an exciting opportunity for an individual to manage and coordinate fundraising activities for a range of clients. Our clients include several Democratic congressmen and congresswomen, as well as non-profit and international organizations. The intern will have to work with our high-profile clients to help manage events and streamline fundraising activities. The intern would gain invaluable experience in all aspects of fundraising at a high level, giving them a leg up on fellow applicants to finance positions in the future. The appropriate candidate will be a self-motivated, high-energy person with knowledge or an interest in politics.
Internship Description
- Assist in event planning, event outreach, work at events to help check people in, and event follow-up.
- Update and maintain database for our clients, as well as conduct research as needed (donors, FEC, etc.)
- Run errands to bank, DCCC, or other office buildings.
- Interact with Members of Congress on a day-to-day basis.
- Assist in day-to-day office administrative activities, ie answering the phone, copying checks, taking out trash & doing dishes.
Intern Requirements
- Experience with Word and Excel
- Maintain and develop professional relationships with staff, Partners, and clients
- Perform against tight deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively with partners, staff and visitors
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced atmosphere.
- Have a positive, up-beat attitude.
All interested candidates must be able to start the first week of September. A daily stipend will be included for lunches. Please submit a resume and cover letter.
