[jobsthatareLEFT] Chief Development Officer - Freedom for All Americans - Washington, DC / NYC / Flexible

Freedom for All Americans

Chief Development Officer

About the Organization:

Freedom for All Americans (FFAA) is the nationwide campaign dedicated to ensuring that every American, regardless of where they live, is protected under the law from discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity and expression – without allowing overly broad and harmful religious exemptions that will encourage employers, business owners or others to choose to disregard those protections.

As we have already seen in 2015 in states across the country, opponents of equality are likely to continue to look for ways to chip away at protections for marriage and nondiscrimination in order to undermine our gains. But it is not enough to merely take a defensive posture and fight back against discrimination. We must take the fight on the offensive with a multi-year initiative that seizes on our best opportunities to advance local and state-level victories. This work will ensure more LGBT people are protected from discrimination, allow for robust organizing in conservative Southern and Midwestern states, boost public opinion and create pressure for Congress to pass a comprehensive nondiscrimination bill.
