New Virginia Majority is seeking canvassers to build a movement for a new Virginia. NVM leads the fight in Virginia for immigrant rights and voting rights, Medicare expansion and educating voters about the effects of climate change.
We're seeking canvassers to help us build power by organizing people, money and ideas right here in Northern Virginia.
Responsibilities:
~ Implementing the field plan by canvassing door to door and having conversations with voters
~ Getting voters involved as monthly sustainers and building memberships
~ Meeting or exceeding daily Quota and contact goals
~ Recording results while placing a high expectation on accuracy of data
Qualifications:
~ At least One Cycle of Canvassing experience strongly preferred
~ Persons with canvassing AND Fundraising experience will be given top priority
~ Having access to a vehicle is also preferred
~ Be comfortable with speaking with voters door to door
~ Interest in political campaigns and grassroots organizing a strong plus
~ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a team
~ Sense of humor with a good attitude with an outgoing personality
~ Willingness to work hard every day.
~ Have a professional yet casual appearance
~ Strong attention to details
PAID Training day (10.00) from 9am-5pm
Salary: $11.00 per hour for staff members. With Bonus' & Travel Assistance.

Sat and Sundays – 11:30AM to 6:00PM
