RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this position, the Tracking Associate will:
- Create a network of trackers and volunteers they will in turn use to ensure events are tracked
- Gather footage from volunteers and trackers on the ground to store in our archive
- Flag news-worthy remarks
- Track events in the state where they are stationed as well as surrounding states as needed
- Assist in other research projects as requested
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous tracking experience preferred, experience in organizing or coordinating volunteers is a plus
- Crucial technical skills include the ability to record and transmit digital video and a resourcefulness in making these systems work on the road
- Possess a strong political instinct and knowledge of current political events and policy and ability to become well-versed in candidate's statements
- A reliable vehicle, car insurance and valid driver's license preferred
- Cunning attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to take direction, ask questions and quickly learn new tasks and databases
- Self-motivated with the ability to meet strict deadlines
- Bachelor's degree is preferred
- Spanish language skills welcome
