· Develop and implement finance plans for Member clients to outline cycle fundraising goals on a quarterly basis.
· Plan and execute DC & national fundraising events. Event planning tasks include: Recruiting prospective event hosts; working with event hosts and congressional staff to schedule events; Coordinating with hosts and campaign staff on all of the event planning; Managing and overseeing Member call time to grow events; Tracking RSVPs and associated pledges; and following-up on outstanding pledges and commitments.
· Manage and develop Member call time. Duties include: Identifying PAC targets for Member call time; Maintaining client call books to resolicit donors and engage new targets; Staffing clients during Member call time; And reinforcing client contact with follow-up calls and e-mails.
· Build strong relationships with donor community and serve as liaison between clients and PACs.
· Meet and collaborate with clients and staff to address fundraising progress.
· Maintain the NGP donor database and other fundraising tools by tracking pledges, processing checks, updating lobbyist contact information, and entering relevant notes from client call time.
· Run miscellaneous errands as needed (picking up lunch, going to the post office, making bank deposits, etc.).
An ideal candidate should possess:
• 2-4 years of relevant experience;
• A working knowledge of the NGP database;
• Strong interpersonal skills and a sense of humor;
• A strong and proactive work ethic;
• Excellent multi-tasking skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
