East Coast Senate Campaign Seeks Digital Director
As a member of senior staff, the Digital Director on this competitive, top-tier US Senate campaign will be responsible for managing all aspects of the campaign's online program including, but not limited to, email marketing, social media and the website with the goals of raising money, recruiting supporters and turning out voters on Election Day.
Ideal candidate will have experience creating and executing engaging, stand-out online actions that convert supporters into volunteer and donor prospects, engage new audiences and use the media cycle to push the campaign's message and reach. The Digital Director is expected to assist with outreach to allies in finding partnerships and joint actions.
Other responsibilities include:
- Creating a content calendar to match campaign messaging and keeping social media sites like Facebook and Twitter up to date and engaging with its connections
- Developing and posting content to the campaign website
- Building connections with local and national bloggers (and local and national press, in the absence of a communications director or press secretary) and providing them with regular access and updates on the campaign
- Working with the Finance Director and using online tools to help raise money online, handle RSVPs for fundraising events, keep track of donors, and turn supporters into donor prospects
- Working with the Field Director to use online tools to help the field team recruit volunteers, manage volunteers, and facilitate field events, canvasses, phone banks, etc
