A candidate in a competitive Philadelphia area primary campaign is looking for a motivated, organized and experienced Field Director to assist in running day-to-day field operations for the entire campaign. The Field Director will report directly to the Campaign Manager, and the duties of the position include (but are not limited to) the following:
· Managing the day-to-day schedule and activities for the candidate in conjunction with the Campaign Manager
· Crafting and executing a comprehensive field plan outlining the path to victory including voter contact and volunteer recruitment goals
· Conducting all of the campaign's field activities including door-to-door canvasses, phone banks, etc.
· Ensuring that all field data is organized and entered in a timely fashion
· Maintaining relationships and communication with local Democratic stakeholders
· Recruiting and training volunteers for campaign field activities
· Organizing and staffing community and fundraising events
· Hiring and managing campaign interns
· Staffing and overseeing the candidate's Philadelphia campaign headquarters
Interested candidates must possess the following qualifications:
· At least 1 cycle of campaign experience (at the staff level is a plus) and familiarity with Philadelphia politics
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in an intense campaign environment
· Strong leadership and people management skills
· Experience with NGP-VAN, NationBuilder, Microsoft Office Suite, Facebook, and Twitter
